The End

Well it's been exactly one month since my last blog and the reason for that was because of the lack of internet connection.
September was a very busy month at Focus. They still had me help film interviews and plugged in, edit, and make dvd logos. I helped interview Gary Chapman, Mark Holman, and Jim Daly.
I also helped with the interview of Shirley Dobson, for next years National Day of Prayer.
I was able to Meet and help with the production of James Dobson as he spoke to different corporations.
We were able to finish and send out the Essentials of Parenting to Tyndale, for them to publicize the dvd. We actually used quite a bit of the footage I shot and Drone sounds I made for them.
The Institute started up about a week into September and I made a lot of friends. They were mainly Jr. or Seniors in college. I ate with them pretty much every day for lunch and I went dancing with them at the Airforce academy.
It's hard to believe two and one half months could go by so quickly. Hanging out with my uncle and his family was a blast! They made the, already amazing, summer even better.
Yesterday I flew home and met my mom and dad at the airport. It was a great reunion, but hard to believe it was taking place. Even here at home I'm still trying to get used to it.
But I know it wont be long for things to get back to normal and my pets seem glad to see me. I'm looking forward to hanging out with my friends and talking with them in person. It's been a long time, but it went by way to fast.
I'd like to thank everyone for reading my blogs and showing your interest in what I was doing.
A great opportunity came my way and I grabbed hold of it. This summer, I had one of the best experiences of my life and I would like to thank everyone who made it possible!

It's been a while since I have last updated my blog because I don't have Wi-Fi. So Whenever I can get the chance I'll try to upload a new post.
To start off, a couple of weeks ago Rush of fools came to Focus and performed. They did a great job.
Lately I have been working on a series called the Essentials of Parenting and the Essentials Marriage. I've also worked on some plugged in reviews that you can watch at http://www.focusonthefamily.com/. Even though I don't write reviews, sometimes I'll watch movie trailers with my boss and we'll make our own plugged in review. We don't really base them on how family oriented they are, but more on how awesome they look and the message they could possibly posses.
One of the big events I'm looking forward to is possibly recording Dr. Dobson.
Last Thursday I got a call from a church and they asked me to help make their Capitol Campaign video. So I took a couple of days off and helped. They were very pleased with the outcome.
I now have about 3 1/2 weeks left at focus before I begin wrapping up my time here in Colorado.
I'm not sure when I'll be updating my blog next and I doubt I will be able to upload my video blogs like I was planning on doing. Thanks again for all your support and reading my posts!

August 12

Well it's been a while since I have posted anything because I have been really busy. I have been working a lot on Authoring a DVD, which is setting up the DVD so people can access menus.
I'm also helping film a Parenting series which is really fun. Today I used an EX3 Sony camera.
Tomorrow I will be helping with a PluggedIn shoot, so I'm looking forward to that.
In 4 days it will be my month anniversary from being away from home. It's gone by really fast.
Tomorrow I'll be working on more Authoring, learning software, and filming. It's been a great week and it's already halfway over!

August 4

Today was pretty much the same as yesterday, I edited video footage for 7 hours. I'm still working on my video blog and I should have it up soon.
A couple nights ago I went to walmart to look at some medicine for my cough. In the end I decided to wait and see what my uncle thought I should buy. So I went to walgreens to get some cough drops. On the way back home I got a bloody nose while driving. That was a major highlight!
That was my 5th one in two days.
Last night I went back to walmart and was ID'd for the stuff I bought for my cough. It was just cough medicine with a cherry flavor and 10% alcohol. On the side of the bottle it had a tag that told parents to read up on teen medication overdose. So that's been an ongoing joke. The medicine is really nasty but it I think it is going to help.
Thursday I'm going to help out with the G. I. Joe Movie review. I'm looking forward to that.
I usually help set up the cameras and get it ready to film the critic.
So stay tuned and I'll give you the link to the review.

First Day at Work

Today I woke up at 5:45 am to get ready for work. I left at 7:05 am and clocked in at 8:00 am. I waited in Human Resources and signed a few papers, a couple consisting of what I can  tell everyone on here of what I am doing. When 9:00 rolled around I went with my supervisor to go get my badge. I have two cards, the first has a picture of me on it and the second is blank but can unlock doors if held up to an electronic device. After that, my supervisor had me take a tour which lasted about 40 min. Then I went back to Human Resources and waited for Paul, my boss, to come and get me. I ended up staring at a bunch of cubicles the until about one o' clock.
Paul didn't forget about me or anything it's just that we couldn't get a hold of him to tell him I was there. So I ate lunch at the cafeteria and then went to the book store. I get an awesome discount on items since I work there.
Well I finally met up with Paul and started working with him. He put me on some softwares I had never used before, told me what to do, I was freaking out in my mind, and he left cause he had to do some other stuff. So I had to figure how to work DVD Studio Pro 4.
Well I was able to do what he told me to do and after I was done I looked over and found a 5" thick manual of the software. I skimmed through that and learned some new things but I'm still a little shaky when trying to work the program.
After that I walked around and helped Paul with other projects and he told me by the end of the week I'll be a master at DVD Studio Pro 4.
I clocked out at 5:00 pm and headed home. So it was a pretty good start on the job and I get to do it all over again tomorrow. So I'm going to get ready for bed and I'll try to work on my video blog of the weekend when I went to the Rockies game and the theme park. Just a warning I was sick so I never really talked, but I'll uses subtitles.
Hope everyone is having a great summer and enjoying what is left of it!

Camp Night 1

SICK

Well when I got home from camp I became sick and light headed. We are leaving for Denver today and I'm trying to rest a lot so I can go.
I'll probably make a video blog of what we did, but right now I am putting up my three videos I made for the camp.

Camp Como

Today I just got back from helping out at Camp Como. I ran the media programs and filmed each day. I filmed the kids and their activities and then edited the footage to show that night. The camp director said he wanted to use my videos for promotion for the camp. I'll be putting up the three videos I made.

For the rest of the day I will be resting and getting ready for tomorrow. We take off for denver for the weekend and then come home sunday evening. We will be going to a Rockies game and then to an amusement park. On Monday I start working with Focus on the Family.

17th - 18th

The first two days have been amazing. Yesterday morning I went to my cousin's swim meat and watched her swim 3 races. After that I tagged along with everyone for a 2 hour hike in the mountains. It was so cool! We didn't go on Pikes Peak, but on the mountain trails around it. While I stood at the highest point that we traveled to that day, I could see all of Colorado Springs. I'll be posting pictures soon.
The rest of the evening I found out my home button on my ipod broke, so I have to set up an appointment with the Genius Bar.
This morning I went to my other cousin's baseball game and today I'm getting ready for camp. I'll be running the media programs for the week and then helping out in other areas.
I'm not sure when I'll have Wi-Fi again so this might be my last blog for a week.
But I'll fill you in once I get a chance!

First Day In Colorado

Well I woke up at 3:45 am and arrived  at the airport at 5:20 am. I went to check in and found out my suitcase was 9 pounds over the limit. So they told me I could pay them $75 and not have to worry about it. Well since that's outrageous I took some stuff out of the suit case and made the weight limit.
After that my family and I walked to the security point and was told by an officer that if we go back to the front checkin and get a pass, my family could wait with me in the terminal. So, we went back and was told that the pass was only for Military and unaccompanied minors. We went back and told the officer about it and he was in denial until he realized that I was over 18.
Then I said my goodbyes and went to the security metal detectors and put my carry-ons through the X-ray system and made my way to the waiting area.
I boarded the plain and it took off on time. It was really cool seeing earth from above the clouds and watching cars the size of Ants drive around.
After about a 3 hour flight the plane landed and I tried to figure out were my luggage would be. I found I had to ride a train to another part of the airport. I finally located suit case. When I picked up my bag, it got caught on other suit cases as they strolled around. I pulled even harder and demolished a women, completely knocking her to the ground.
So, it was a pretty good start of the day.
Then I went to my aunt and uncle's house and hung out with the kids. It's funny cause my cousins act like I'm only staying 1 day and they're trying to do as much as possible with me.
But in all it's been fun and now I going to be working on the video blog.
